About Fund

The Czech Film Fund was established on 1st January 2013, based on the new Act No. 496/2012 on Audiovisual Works and Support for Cinematography.

With current legislation in place, the Czech Film Fund is an efficient institution with stable financing, backed by a guaranteed state subsidy.

The Fund also administers production incentives for audio-visual projects made in the Czech Republic. The annual budget for this cash rebate is 31.4 million euro.

Since 2017, the Czech Film Center and Film Commission have become an integral part of the Fund, making it a complex institution that not only allocates money but which also promotes the Czech film industry internationally.
