Production incentives

It's not just the notable tradition and high professional level of filmmaking that make the Czech Republic a top destination for various projects.

The Czech government recognizes the significance of the audiovisual production as an industry with high cultural and economic added value.

Its remarkable positive effects include the use of a wide range of suppliers of goods and services, large job opportunities, the development of regions, technological and non-technological innovations, the environmental sustainability and the promotion of the Czech Republic abroad.

The incentive programme, funded by the national budget and administered by the Czech Audiovisual Fund (former Czech Film Fund), aims to maintain the competitiveness of the Czech audiovisual industry internationally and to support the national and international audiovisual production in the Czech Republic.

Incentives take the form of a refund of the eligible costs spent on the audiovisual production.

Further information and updates can be found on the Czech Film Commission website.
